The phone is line-powered, eliminating the need for internal batteries, and provides DTMF output only. It also features a unique 20dB “BOOST” button, which, when activated, allows the user to hear dial tone and speech even when the phone is set aside. Please note that the “BOOST” function is not active in monitor mode.

Additionally, the polarity LED provides a visual indication of polarity and line reversal, and the TALK/RING/MONITOR switches are positioned for ease of use. This model does not include a speakerphone facility.
